ReturnSense
For Shopify brands shipping 200–5,000 orders/mo

One Shopify app for delivery problems before they become returns.

Keep your tracking and returns tools. ReturnSense is the post-purchase ops layer that catches delivery failures, contacts the customer first, and routes each order toward recovery, exchange, resend, or refund review.

Tracking tells your customer where the parcel is. Returns tools wait for the return request. The expensive moment is in between.

Your tracking page is built for the shipment that arrives. The one that doesn’t arrive becomes an angry email, a refund request, and a customer who doesn’t order again — and you find out about it days late, from them. ReturnSense exists for that moment: it notices first, reaches out first, and hands your team a decision instead of a mystery.

How it works

Detect, triage, contact, resolve — without you watching.

1

Connect your store

Install from Shopify with read-only access to orders and fulfillments. Your recent shipments are backfilled automatically.

2

We watch for trouble

Every parcel is monitored for the scans that mean something has gone wrong, then ranked by what that failure will actually cost you.

3

Recovery starts on its own

The customer hears from you, your team gets the alert, and the order is routed toward save, resend, exchange, or refund review.

Already have a tracking app?

Good. Keep it.

ReturnSense isn’t a tracking page, a branded order-status portal, or a traditional return portal competing for the same job. Those tools show status or process a return after the customer starts one. ReturnSense works in the middle: when a delivery issue can still be saved, or when support needs to decide whether a resend, exchange, or refund is the right move.

Recovery signals

Built around the decisions merchants usually find out about too late.

ReturnSense looks for shipment states that can still be recovered, then adds order value, customer priority, service level, and carrier lane history so support sees which action is worth taking.

Outcome engine

The moat is learning which recovery action worked.

ReturnSense is not trying to win by being another branded tracking page or another returns portal. The product gets stronger when it can compare wait, outreach, trace, resend, replacement, and refund decisions against what happened next.

What you get

The post-purchase recovery layer for your Shopify stack.

Delivery recovery before the ticket

ReturnSense catches delays, failed attempts, address issues, uncollected pickups, lost-in-transit, and packages that simply stopped scanning.

Returns prevention, not just returns handling

ReturnSense shows which delivery issues are likely to turn into refunds, replacements, exchanges, or chargeback conversations.

Reaches the customer first

The right message goes out automatically, from your brand, while there's still time to save the order relationship.

Fires into the tools you already use

Push exception events into Klaviyo or Slack. ReturnSense gives your existing stack better signals instead of forcing another workflow.

Triages by what it costs you

VIP tags, high-value orders, expedited shipping, and carrier lane risk lift the cases that will hurt retention most.

Tells you what to do about it

Resend, refund, wait, trace, or prevent a return — every high-risk order carries a recommended next step.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

I already use AfterShip / 17TRACK / ParcelPanel. Why would I add this?

Keep them. Those tools tell your customer where the parcel is. ReturnSense handles the order when delivery trouble becomes a support, refund, replacement, or return-prevention decision.

Does ReturnSense change my shipping setup?

No. It reads your orders and fulfillments (read-only), monitors tracking, and layers recovery workflows over the tools you already use.

Do I have to work inside another dashboard?

No. Exceptions can fire into Klaviyo as an event so they run through your existing flows, or into Slack where your team already is. The dashboard is there when you want it, not a place you have to live.

How much does it cost?

$9.99/month with a 7-day free trial, billed through Shopify. Cancel anytime by uninstalling.

Which carriers are supported?

Tracking runs on EasyPost, which covers USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and most major carriers.

Do my customers get emails from my brand?

Yes. Replies go to your address, and once your sending domain is verified, emails go out as your brand. Or skip our sender entirely and run the whole thing through your Klaviyo.

Stop letting delivery problems become surprise returns.
